TRIUMPH GUARANTEE 1 . ln this Guàrancee the word "mac hine" refer s to the motor cycle; scooter , motor-cy cle combinat ion or . sidecar as the cas~, may be, purchased by the Purcha ser. 2. ln ord er to : .obtain the benefit of this Guarante e, the Purchaser musc have cor reccly completed the · registratio n form and ret urned it to us within fourteen days of the purchase. 3. We wil supply, free of charge, a new part in exchange for, or, if we consider repair sufficient, will re- pair free of charge any parc proved within six months of the daèe of purc hase of any .new machine; (3 months USA) or wit hin three months of its renewal or repair in the case of a part already renewed or repaired, co be defective by reason of our faulty workmansh ip or macerials. We do not undertak e to bear the cost of fitting such new or repa ired part or accessory. ,. 4. Any part considered to be def ective must be sent to our Distributor carr iage paid, accompa nied following information:- (a) Name of purchaser and his address; (b) Date of purchase of machine; (c) Name of dealer from whom the purchase was made; (d) Engine number arid model. by the S. This Guarant ee shall not ext end to defect or damage appeari ng after misuse, neglect, abno rmal stress or stra in, or the incorporation or affixing of unsuitable attachments or .parcs and In particular i-e- (a) Hiring out; (b) Racing and Competitio ns; (e) Adaptati on or alterac ion of any part or par ts after leaving our Works; . (.d) The attac hing of a sidecar in a manner not approved by us or to an unsuitable motor-cy cle. This Guarantee shall not extend to machines whose trad e mark, name or manufacturing number has · been altered or removed, or in which has been used any part not supplied or approved by us, ~r to tyr es, saddles, chains, speed ometers, revolut ion count ers and elect rical equip ment or to parts supplied to the order of the Purchaser and different from our st andard specification. 6. Our liability and that of our dealer who sells the machine, shal be limite d to that set out in this ~uaran..: tee, and no ot her claims for consec¡uential da.mage or injury to perso n or property ,shall be admissible. All other conditions and warrant ies statutory or ot herwise and whether express or imp!.ied are hereby excluded and no guarantee other chan that express! y her ein contain ed app lies to the machine to which, this Guarantee relates or any accessory o~ par t thereof. 7, We reserv e the right to modify or deviate from che Published Specification withou t not ice._ , · REPAIRS GUARANTEE 1. Whilst t he highest standar d of work manship and mater ials is aimed at, we cannot accept liability for any defects appear ing mor e than three months after t he machine, assembly or compone nt has left our Works after being repa ired. 1. We will repair or replace at our option free of charge any defecti ve work, mate rials or par t s relat ing to the repairs carried out by us appeàring within t hat time but shall not be unde r any further, or other liability for any other loss or damage whe t her direct or conseq uential and our liability shall be limited . to the cost of so making good. We do not undertake to bear the cose of fitt ing any repla cemen t or repaire d par t. ' 3. We do not accept liability in respect of parts of proprie t ary manufacture, e.g. tyre s, saddle s, chains, speedomet ers, revolutio n counters and electrica l equipment which may be used by us in effecting a repair.
